Integrated human inquiry

 

  University of Human Arts and Sciences is the first private
distance-learning university in Japan. Its theme is integrated
scientific inquiry for the acquisition of knowledge in order to
understand the essence of humanity in terms of mind, body,
and culture. Its goal is the cultivation of forward-looking
human resources endowed with both inteligent independence
and a compassionate concern for togetherness. Its system
allows students to choose freely from a variety of study formats.

 

 

The spirit behind the university】

Human beings, an amalgam of mind and body, are social animals that have continued to evolve throughout history. To live robustly in the twenty-first century each one of us needs a firm sense of values based on a new perspective and viewpoint and the decision-making ability and courage to create the future. This means studying humanity in terms of mind, body, and culture, engaging in integrated, interdisciplinary, scientific inquiry. With the establishment of the Faculty of Human Sciences, which offers a new, integrated approach to learning, University of  Human Arts and Sciences aims to cultivate vigorous human resources endowed with a true understanding of humanity, a sense of self-responsibility, and a spirit of togetherness.
